08.13.08 - Work Begins on New Science Building at FCNot to sound cliché but, change is in the air. This summer, the Division of Natural Sciences permanently vacated the old 400 Building, its longtime home. The building will be demolished this fall in order to make room for a new science building (pictured at left). As a result of this project, nearly everything old and familiar with science classes at FC... is new again. Offices, labs, and classrooms for the division now are dispersed. The division office has been relocated to the 1000 building, in room 1005-O. Offices for science instructors now are in several buildings, including buildings 600, 1000, 1200, 1600 and 2000. Lectures for science classes now are at new locations around the campus. And you might notice that some lectures are being held at odd times. This is from having to squeeze in to alternate classrooms -- which are already in short supply. Most labs now are being offered in the "Science Village" across Chapman, near the Admissions and Records building. In keeping with this theme of "Change", nearly all of the phone numbers for science staff and faculty have changed. So, consult the FC Staff Directory to find us. We're not hiding from you, but to track us down, you might have to engage a bit of your curiosity, imagination and resourcefulness. And afterall, isn't that what scientists do?
