Associates in Science: Biological Technician
The Biological Technician Associate in Science Degree is designed for students who wish to obtain the skills required to gain employment in bioscience and biotechnology industries, as well as for incumbent workers seeking career opportunities. This degree grants the student eligibility for direct transfer to Mira Costa College or Solano College for a B.S. in Biomanufacturing. Upon completion of this program, students will be eligible to obtain employment
as laboratory assistants, biomanufacturing technicians, or research and development technicians. A grade of C or better is required in each course. This degree requires 29-34 units in the major, in addition to other graduation requirements.
In addition to the completion of all required general education courses, the following course must be completed to
earn the A.S. Biological Technician Degree.
