Meet Our Faculty

Spiros Dimitratos

Spiros Dimitratos received his B.A. in Biology from UCLA and his Ph.D. in Developmental and Cell Biology at UC-Irvine. After spending over twenty years working at a biotechnology company, Dimitratos decided to take a faculty position at Fullerton College in 2016. He has since then been dedicated to inspiring and preparing students for their futures in biotechnology. 

He is the current chairman of the Biology Department for the Fullerton College Natural Sciences Division and has been a professor for the college for over 7 years.

Dr. Dimitratos teaches the BIOL 191, BIOL 192, and BIOL 194 courses for the Biotech Program.

Kim Rosales

Kimberly Rosales received her Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California, Irvine. She worked for the Minority Science Program at UC Irvine training undergraduates in hypothesis driven research. She then joined City of Hope as a Post-Doctoral Fellow to conduct research on cancer cell metabolism. She has taught a variety of Biology courses at various institutions including California State University Dominguez Hills and Coastline Community College. She has been involved in outreach providing interactive science lessons to elementary students.

In 2016 she accepted a faculty position at Fullerton College and has spent the last 7 years building the FC Biotech Program by teaching students essential laboratory skills to prepare them for futures in research.  

Dr. Rosales teaches BIOL 190, BIOL 190L, BIOL 193, and BIOL 193 courses for the Biotech Program.
